User Status Segmentation

User status segmentation categorizes users based on their relationship with and commitment to the product. Typically, there are four status segments:

  • Prospective users who are interested in using the product but haven’t started yet
  • Active users
  • Paused/inactive users who have stopped using the product but may resume in the future
  • Lapsed users who are no longer interested in the product.

This type of segmentation allows you to provide better and more efficient customer support, target messaging and engagements appropriately, and prioritize efforts based on your strategy.
